2 Ti. 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

We are encouraged and warned through the Scriptures to help friends even if we have to reprove or rebuke them. Sure, it is nice to be able to agree with friends and compliment them. However, there are times when we have to speak to the contrary of what one may think: “Open rebuke is better than secret love.” (Pr. 27:5)

Recently, a friend of mine made a video and she included Joyce Meyer. I thought the video was really good as her other stuff usually is. However, I looked into Joyce Meyer's testimony and discovered she had no proof of a zero-male cognizance factor before she married her present man, and that she made no attempt to disclose sufficiently necessary things pertaining to it. Of the men whom had sex with her previously her incestuous father had died, but there were others she needed to prove were not living in order to free herself from being liable of fornication. I did not even have to take a look into Dave Meyer's background to determine something was suspicious with the marriage.

So after I saw the video and did some research, I reproved Rachel about Joyce Meyer. At the time it didn't seem to make any difference, Rachel and I still seemed to be able to communicate and discuss issues in a friendly way with each other. But then, she quit conversing with me. I don't know whether for sure it was over the reproof or not, but something happened. She has not spoken to me in a long time now.

She has a very impressive testimony, and previously has inspired me to teach on many issues. There is a big difference between a virgin and a defiled woman who marries. She stood out from those who professed for Jesus but had stained morality backgrounds and lacked true repentance. Even though, virgins need to be reminded of the nuances and shades concerning sexual morality. I have missed her friendship and companionship in standing for Jesus. Nevertheless, sometimes life has to go on, even without the friendship of those you would expect would want to share with you.

May God bless all his people that they do things for his sake and be closer to him. We all have faults, may the Lord bless us that we continue to love one another and improve for his glory. In Jesus' name, amen.
